Setting A Deadline is Vital for Goal Setting

Gary Ryan Blair--better known as "The Goals Guy"-explains that setting deadlines is one of the best ways to ensure that you'll achieve your goals. In fact, not having time-bound language to box-in goals is one of the main reasons why people fail in their goal setting efforts.

If you look at your credit card bills, you'll notice that you have to pay the minimum due within a specific time frame. Gary explains that he sometimes asks people the following question: "If your mortgage, your credit card bills, and your cars loans didn't come with a deadline, and didn't come with a consequence associated with that deadline, would you pay them?" Overwhelmingly, most people respond that they would not pay.

A deadline forces you to perform within a given period of time. So it's a strategic tool that helps you to perform on demand and it's used everywhere. It's used for your mortgage, it's used for car loans, it's used for hotel checkout times, it's used for job service hours, in fact, it's used for everything in life that requires that an outcome take place.

Gary adds that a lot of people get stressed and feel uncomfortable when they hear the word "deadline". He explains that what these people need to do is to change their perspective and realize that a deadline is their ally because it pushes them to achieve the goals they're aiming for.

For those people interested in taking their lives to the next level and ending 2009 with a bang, Gary has created a program called The 100 Day Finish Strong Challenge which will expose you to the best ideas, the best strategies, and the best personal practices for living a successful life.  This program will expose your mind to what it means to be the best, and it begins on the 23rd of September, 2009.

There's a special report created by Gary which is titled: "How to Create Your Own Big Bang!" which you can access right away, for free, simply by clicking here.
